Romania's famous mountains - Durău Resort

 

  After visiting the Durău Monastery, we started to walk around the Durău resort to  see what what fascinates these thousands of visitorss are enchanted by  this resort. Not even the pandemic prevents them from coming to visit these beautiful places. In addition to rest, the resort is also recommended for those suffering from various chronic diseases, but also for practicing winter sports in the cold season.

  When we got there, the resort of Durău did not seem so big, but instead we were amazed by the beauty of nature. The huge fir trees seem to protect it and in front you can see the Ceahlau Massif. When we started walking through the resort we realized that it is not so small and that the beauty of the place and zero pollution attract visitors.

I wanted to make a video about the resort as I did at the monastery, but with thousands of people walking around, this was impossible and I just took pictures. Since it was a one-day visit, I wanted to take the resort with me, at least in photos.

 If you want to visit more than the resort you can make routes to the Ceahlau Mountains, Duruitoarea Waterfall or go by gondola. Because I was contra time, I didn't do any of this and I hope it will be next time.

 Durău is a mountain resort in Neamț County, Romania, which is part of Ceahlău village, the residence of Ceahlău commune. It is located at the foot of the Ceahlau massif (on its northwestern slope) at an altitude of 780-800 meters and is located at a distance of 9 km from the reservoir Izvorul Muntelui on the river Bistrița. Due to the tranquility and the clean mountain air, the Durău resort is a place of rest and relaxation for tourists. The resort is also recommended for winter sports, but also for treatments such as asthenic neurosis, weakness, anemia, recovery from mental exertion. Therefore, it is a good opportunity for visitors to fill their lungs with fresh air.
